Astragalus can be a herbaceous perennial native to China, achieving as much as 4 feet tall with wonderful, modest, yellow flowers from midsummer by late drop.The dried roots and rhizomes will be the parts of elecampane which have been employed for herbal preparations.  It’s best to collect these aspects of this herb in the fall or early winter.�
